Quiet…

Hello, friends.

I took a short vacation from blogging—not necessarily intentionally, just had a busy few days!  Friday at work was INSANELY BUSY, with a million things to finish up, and Friday night was spent running errands and then collapsing from one of the busiest weeks in recent memory.

Yesterday, I spent my day like this:

I had the privilege of taking my students to the Monterey Bay Aquarium yesterday.  It was a special trip, sponsored by a foundation that makes field trips possible for underprivileged students.  Many of the kids had never seen the ocean before, and watching their faces as we approached the water was so fun.  It was a long day—3 hours each way on a school bus, with a ton of middle schoolers—but it was worth it.

Today, I am headed over to visit my family and see my parents, grandparents, and great aunt, who is here visiting from Nebraska.  Should be a nice afternoon.  I am also celebrating the fact that Halloween is done for yet another year…thank god.

Anyways, I’ll be back tomorrow, swearsies.  Happy Sunday.

I LOVE the Monterey Bay Aquarium! Hubs and I are going to be there in December, on our way home from a weekend in San Francisco for the Dickens Christmas Faire. You should SO go to that, btw, English major to English major. Most fun Christmas tradition I’ve ever experienced. 🙂

  3. I’m so jealous you get to take your students on field trips, our district won’t authorize them. I love aquariums, they are so lovely and peaceful. 🙂

Glad you had a good time! I am sure it was well worth the bus ride (ewwwww) to see them enjoy such an awesome place. Aquariums are the best!
