Favorite Things Friday

I am sadder than normal about this being Friday, since it means that one whole week of my vacation is OVER, but don’t worry—I still have a whole week to go.

Here are a few of my favorite things this week:

—Several of my Blathering friends have started a new style blog called Style Lush.  It’s been fun to see the great content they’ve unrolled all week, and it’s definitely not your typical style blog—the things they’ve found have been really original, and having the perspective of so many different writers means that there really is something for everyone.  I’m impressed and you should most DEFINITELY go check it out!

—I don’t have a kid, but I’m really in love with the site 500 Pieces of Prudent Advice For My Baby Daughter.  The advice is great, and it’s full of the exact sorts of things I’d want to tell my kid.  Or myself.

Ex Hot Girl cracks me up!

—I have been searching for fingerless gloves because in the winter, I absolutely freeze on my drive to work and in my classroom in the morning, however, I’d like the use of my hands.  Also, they look cute!  Of course, I turned to Etsy, but I’m struggling to find fingerless gloves that are cute and reasonably priced!  For example, I like these, but I don’t want to pay $35.  Hrmph.  Any suggestions?

—My “real life” friend, Angel is starting his photography business.  I’m so proud—check it out here!

—If I haven’t shared before (and I think I have, multiple times!) I’m LOVING my Mondo Beyondo class.  January registration is up, so if you have any sort of interest, sign up now—spots go quickly!  It’s worth it, promise.

Have a happy Friday, friends!

  1. Hi! Thank you for sharing my site, I am so glad you enjoy it. i wanted to tell you i was at Target this morning and they had a giant selection of fingerless gloves that were pretty cute…

  2. Fingerless gloves are the freaking BEST ever. I bought several pairs last year because the jerks that run the office don’t like to pay for the heat. I highly suggest that you get the kind that has individual finger holes.

  3. DON’T BUY FINGERLESS GLOVES.

  4. Yep, Target has several right now. Also, Cost Plus has a whole new line of scarves, hats and…fingerless gloves! (And cute jewelry that reminds me of your turquoise beads) 🙂

You can take socks and cut out a part for your thumb, and for your fingers…a cheap fix until you find something better.
