Seriously, life. Go kick rocks.

Sooo, life.

I’d really like to know what I did in the grand scheme of things to make life decide TO TAKE A HUGE CRAP ON ME the past week and a half or so.  While I realize that the things I’m about to write are small potatoes compared to our family struggles, I just think you should know that in the past week, I’ve:

  • Had my school district royally SCREW ME on my paycheck and assure me they’ll fix it.  NEXT MONTH.  I’d like to invite any of them to try and make it with $700 less than normal.  Let me know how that goes.  Oh, and then simply be offered an apology for the inconvenience.  Gee, I wish I could cash out that email or turn it in for gas.  That’d be awesome.
  • Had a parent meeting with a person I thought could easily break me into pieces.  It was scary.
  • My car was broken into at work.  I was teaching, happily reviewing literary terms when my principal told me to come out and to bring my car keys.  I grabbed them and sure enough, my poor little 4-Runner’s passenger-side back window was broken into.  They took my pretty pink Nike bag, a gift from Andrew.  And then threw it in a ditch, which was fine, because I got my workout clothes, sports bras and gym lock back, but WTF?!  I keep nothing in my car.
  • So, if you can connect the dots, I was shorted a ton of money this month and NOW I get to pay $135 to have my window repaired.  FREAKING AWESOME.

So, guess what I’m doing this weekend?  Nothing.  I need an effing break.  I plan to see my family, hang out with Andrew, work out, paint, collage and work through the suggestions on this awesome post and figure out a way to sprinkle sunshine and gumdrops to everyone in the world because apparently, I’ve done something karmically to bring the wrath of the world upon me.

Thankfully, I’ve got an awesome family, a boyfriend who loves me, and amazing friends to surround me in everything from big scary family stuff to some stupid person choosing to break into my car.
